Making A Final Push
Hi all,Thank you to those who were able to join what was a powerful mobilizing partner call yesterday. If you weren't able to make it, you can watch the recording here. On the call, we heard some exciting updates from a number of partners and spoke about our final mobilizing push, with just two weeks until June 18. We also laid out four things that we can all do in the lead up to June 18. Please take a look and come up with a plan to put the following in action!
1. Email you members to RSVP for June 18 (in-person or tuning in online). Here're a couple email templates you can draw from.
2. Schedule daily social media posts over the next two weeks. Here is our digital toolkit with sample posts for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. And here are a few examples via Twitter: #MeetUsInDC, Partner Message, When the Rejected Come Together.
3. Send SMS messages to your members to join us on June 18 (or make phone calls to your lists!). Here's a sample SMS message you can use.
4. Record a short video message from the head of your organization or a member on why they're coming to DC for June 18. Here is a beautiful example from Greenpeace, Sunrise Movement, and The Climate Reality Project. Here is a more DIY example from a young leader with the Georgia PPC. Please be in touch with any questions or ideas as we enter the home stretch. And thank you for all that you're doing to make June 18 a transformative gathering of poor and low-income people and all people committed to justice. Forward together!Noam, Rev. Robin, Rev. Kazimir, and Adam
