Director of Development
ABOUT THE POSITION
The person we are seeking understands how to raise money, but also realizes money is not the only asset that helps an organization grow strength and sustainability. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience raising funds in the non-profit sector. We are looking for someone creative in their approaches to donor development, funder relations, and program assessment.
A four-year degree is required, some graduate work is preferred. Must be a good team player with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. A good sense of humor and the ability to be open to the ideas of others is vital. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and able to link the organization’s mission, vision, and values with our resource mobilization efforts. We are committed to ongoing learning, so you must be able to support learning efforts for the board and staff in the area of funds development and resource mobilization. This is a full-time position with limited travel required. Strong computer skills and the ability to work with fundraising software programs are helpful.
